Image Intelligence Software has announced that the next upgrade to its Qedoc brand of interactive learning software will include enhanced support for embedded media such as flash movies, video clips and a wide range of audio formats such as MP3. The initial release of the quiz-making e-learning suite in March 2006 included support for a some media types such as images and a limited range of audio formats. "We want to move ahead quickly with media enhancements," said the project's producer. "Advanced media support is standard in the leading software titles in the e-learning software sector. Often educators and trainers may already have developed complex presentational materials in formats such as Flash or QuickTime, and they won't want to dispense with these when it comes to creating interactive testing materials for their courses." The release schedule for this upgrade is short: early April is the announced target. The intended list of supported file formats includes SWF, MOV, AVI, WMV, MPG, MPEG, MP3 and MID. Support for embedding Powerpoint presentations into the Qedoc Quiz Player is planned but will not be implemented in the same upcoming release. |
