The triple operand arithmetic tools are an extension of the basic arithmetical operations which only ever use two operands. They enable teachers to create arithmetical tasks using three operands and mixed combinations of addition, subtraction and multiplication operations. The numbers used are generated randomly within ranges specified by the teacher, which allows the teacher to create exercise material targetted at a specific level of ability.
In the above task, the learner is given a virtual numeric keypad to type in answers. The learner can switch between tasks simply by clicking on them.
